To start the game: Download Dosbox (I prefer the zipped version) and open the folder of both Star Control and Dosbox and simply drag the 'starcon.exe' over the 'dosbox.exe'. No configurations needed, you don't even have to know Dosbox-commands to do that. ;)

@Hugo, you need to install frontned software the emulates the hardware of MS-DOS. It will basically act as a game launcher for DOSBox.
